Life is like a TV show

After getting so many types of clothing, I have a conclusion. Get the classics because they last forever. Going along with the fashion trends can be so troublesome and costly. Costly in terms of monetary and physical space. This dynamic fashion world where we can be connected worldwide, trends changes every 3-4 months because it depends on the seasons. Seasons come seasons go. Whats hot today is outdated tomorrow. But classics last forever. They are always relevant no matter how trends changes.

Penned down the lingering thoughts to ponder and its time to rest now.

Good night.

I wish you could spare a thought for me or rather my situation and position.

But if you didnt, its alright, I'll still be fine; it wont kill. I cannot be so selfish to expect you to think for me.


Sometimes I do wish things are different but wishing it to be different is not going to change anything. So even if we can't change the situation, we can always change ourselves.

I hope to be stronger and come to terms that its alright not being similar to others but to be myself.

I'm a princess in His eyes...

I worshipped and saw a vision of a princess living in her Father's castle. As all kings would for their children, He handpicked and chose someone for her. Knowing he's a good man, He has already had him in His mind for her, all planned so that she will be joyful and blessed.

However, just like what you see in movies, the king will not reveal who this man whom He has set aside to his daughter is until a time when the king feels its time.

So even though you cant see His hands, trust His heart.

And He reminded me about this verse -

Matthew 7:8-11
For each one who asks receives; and he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, it shall be opened. 9 Or what man is there of you, if his son asks a loaf, will he give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks a fish, will he give him a snake? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father in Heaven give good things to those who ask Him?

I smiled and said, Lord You know my dad is a generous and good dad, so I know You give far greater and better. Because we can never out-give you.

I was reading my past posts to refresh my memory about the happenings in life and realize that I have grown up in many ways. Thinking, character, values and principles, mindset have changed and I find myself more matured than how I was 4 years ago. I'm glad we go from glory to glory, strength to strength.

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." - Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV)

Patience requires faith and trust. But faith will leak, trust disappear; at that instant, remember what He says. "For I know the thoughts..." Although you may not see His hands moving, it does not necessary mean that He is not working on it. It just meant its not time yet.

Trust His heart.

Trust His word (that it will never return to Him void).

Trust that there is someone.

As it is written, "Hope deferred makes the heart sick,but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life." - Proverbs 13:12 (NIV)

When we make a mistake or fail to realize there's a mistake, its not that you're not good enough, instead theres more room for improvement.

"一山还有一山高."

Theres much to learn then.

Be a person like Daniel.

A man after God's heart even being in the marketplace where worship is restricted and in the face of trials and tribulations.

A man who led a consecrated life through spiritual disciplines which kept him sensitive to the soft whisper from the One who walks together with him.

A man who held onto faith, trusted and obey in spite of being in the midst of trouble because he knew the heart of He who is for him.

A man who carries the anointing and favor from God to dwell in the marketplace. He maybe in the marketplace but not of the marketplace.

A man who is an instrument to the One who plays it.

Commitment is not about feelings but its about decisions and sticking to the same decision.

I cant imagine a marriage when one says I feel like I dont love you anymore so I cant commit to this covenent which I said I would.

I just thought of this because I wondered how would someone stick to the same thing for a long long time without wavering? I'm a person who have lower tolerance for routine so sometimes commitment might seem like a challenge to me. I thought about work, relationship etc. How can one stay in it for the longest time?

Commitment is not about feelings but its about decisions which we have made.

Proverbs 13:7
There are those who act rich, yet have nothing; and those who act poor, yet have great riches.

He who walks with the wise shall be wise, but a companion with fools shall be destroyed.

This world is changing and advancing so fast that you got to catch up quickly.

Trends are changing, new technologies invented, needs and wants are shifting etc etc etc. If you don't catch up, you are left behind. Personally I prefer to be ahead rather than constantly trying to catch up. But that means hard work, flexibility, adaptability, out of the box thinking.

Pressure is rising as I sink deeper into this industry. Others close an eye if you are just 1 month in this, 2 months they expect you to be able to grasp the demands and requirements of the industry, 6 months you should be good at it, 1 year you shouldn't have much problem. Unlike other industries which is more relaxed but they other types of stress.

I constantly hear this. Fashion is dynamic, constant and ever changing. You dont catch up, you are left behind in the past.

If God has given a vision, He will have the provision.

I have no worries except to remind myself to take joy. Have fun and enjoy the process. Trust and obey.

Nobody feels good about it.

Felt it for her but theres nothing I could do.

I need Your love, comfort and assurance.

I asked for a word and a simple reminder popped across my mind.

God is not looking for your achievements or results to say you have done a good job. God loves you, accepts you the way you are and nothing could make Him love you more. So you dont have to prove to Him to gain His love or acceptance or approval. Instead He is looking for faithful people who would trust and obey to walk in His ways.

Matthew 25:21
His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful over a few things; I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.

He reminded me about the two persons whom many pastors have preached about. Mary and Martha. Both are Jesus' disciples. One chose to serve while the other chose to fellowship and Jesus says Mary has chosen the good part.

It is not about completing the task, its not about the results, its not about the achievements, its not about ensuring things runs well, its about knowing Him. Its about growing close to Him.

In the midst of walking this journey, I have to admit that there are times when obtaining good results matters quite a bit to me. Pressure and expectations toward myself builds up when I know I'm not talented and gifted in that area and I'm not performing good enough. And thats when I need a reminder that its not about the results, not about myself, its about Jesus.
